ABOUT US
As the area's 1st CBLP certified contractor, Native Creations Landscape Services is dedicated to restoring and enhancing natural ecosystems through the use of native plants and sustainable design practices.
We serve residential, commercial, and conservation clients from Lehigh Valley to Wyoming Valley, Poconos to Happy Valley, and the Northern Tier areas of Pennsylvania.
We are proud to be a Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional
We create functional, natural landscapes for you and the ecosystem.
With years of experience managing invasive plant species throughout Pennsylvania, we have gained much insight into their impacts on the ecosystem as a whole.
Native Creations has created a niche in the landscape industry, bringing native plants into residential, commercial, and conservation projects to create a functional and natural landscape for the customer and neighboring ecosystems. We have accomplished this by implementing thousands of acres of reforested natural landscapes, working with native trees, shrubs, and flora; plants that are naturally found throughout the beautiful landscapes of Pennsylvania.
Native plants are plants indigenous to a given area in geologic time. This includes plants that have developed, occur naturally, or existed for many years in an area (trees, flowers, grasses, etc.).
Many of the invasive plant species found in natural areas are “escapees” from nearby cultivated landscapes.
Commonly used exotic, ornamental, or non-native plants often escape their intended boundaries and establish themselves into the wild.
Since these plants are not part of our existing native landscape, they typically lack natural competition or predators, thus outcompeting and displacing the native species. As a result, the local ecosystem is disrupted, reducing food sources and habitat for native wildlife and pollinators.
The more non-native plants that are established in natural areas, the more they hinder the vital functions of the ecosystem.
Planting natives has many benefits to the customer:
- Easy care
- Already existing in our climate zone
- Prest and disease resistant
- Greater success/survival rate
- Many species are deer/browse tolerant
- Great selection of seasonal colors
- Multifunctional landscapes
- Many native plants are hypoallergenic

Why is our approach more successful for project establishment?
Native Creations projects establish better with less stewardship and reduced carbon footprint. This is due to:
- Site specific plan development
- Proper site preparation
- Proper species list & quality plant material (3-gallon, air pruned container stock)
- Proper / experienced / quality installation (including proper timing)
- Establishment stewardship
Why is our plant stock better?
- Our plant stock is sourced from a grower that collects seed from native plants, maintains proper growing conditions, and produces quality plant material.
- Air prune containers allow the roots to self prune, keeping them from becoming root bound. The roots also endure less shock when planted, allowing them to establish and start growing earlier.
- Larger plant stock (3 gallon), has more established roots, helps the plant withstand wildlife and natural pressures; increasing survival.
Using large container stock (#3 container) has many benefits, including, but not limited to:
Starting with a larger product means working with established root systems. This is generally more productive than working with stakes and shelters.
Larger container stock is typically more tolerant of wildlife and resistant to flood damage. - Utilizing larger container stock means “instant gratification” for land/homeowners, requiring less maintenance and establishing more quickly.
The buffer will be functional sooner, and with less upkeep/maintenance than a typical shelter site.
While the initial investment may be higher, long-term costs are significantly lower than beginning with smaller stock and shelters.
